The Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has announced it will be extending its range of rail logistics services to and from Turkey. Currently, Rail Cargo Operator runs a thrice-weekly service from Sopron-Halkali, with all traction supplied in-house as far as the Turkish border. According to RCG, The new Poland-Budapest (BILK Terminal)-Istanbul route will add a rapid, high-quality service to Rail Cargo Group’s product portfolio. The terminal BILK of RCG in Budapest offers a wide range of onward connections to other points across its network including Germany’s Ruhr Valley and Romania.
RCG also plans to further boost its cooperation with Turkish Railways (TCDD). The two parties have already discussed the varied options for the Istanbul urban area and beyond, and defined a number of future projects.
