The European Commission has launched a public consultation as part of its mid-term evaluation of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). Nearly three years after its launch in January 2014, the CEF will be evaluated for its its relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, coherence and EU added value in achieving its objectives.
A key element of this evaluation is a consultation open to the public which will not only help to assess the various aspects of the programme, but also shape its future. The survey addresses both the general objectives of the CEF as well as the specific objectives set for each of its three sectors. The public consultation will close on 27 February 2017.
The CEF is a European funding programme set up to support the development of high-performing, sustainable and efficient interconnected trans-European networks in energy, telecommunications and transport.
