A new regular rail service linking Poland and China has been recently inaugurated. “This is the beginning of a regular service in which cargo trains between Łódż and Chengdu will run twice a week,” confirmed Sławomir Knap of Hatrans Logistics, which is operating the service.
The route between Łódż and Chengdu, south west China, has been principally used by Chinese exporters since it started in 2013. The Polish products on the inaugural outbound service included beer, juices, mineral water and confectionery. Poland has been working to consolidate trading ties with China in recent years.
