Railway infrastructure operator PKP PLK will announce tenders worth PLN 6.7 billion (EUR 1.5 billion) by the end of 2016, including PLN 1 billion (EUR 234 million) in August alone, PKP PLK CEO Ireneusz Merchel announced. “All in all, the value of tenders this year will have amounted to PLN 9.2 billion (EUR 2.1 billion),” he said.
PKP PLK has already prepared documentation for the tenders to be announced this year, the CEO added. The schedule of tenders for the following years should be ready in September or October.
The company will sign contracts for over PLN 5 billion (EUR 1.1 billion) by end-year and accelerate signing new deals next year. “We expect that by mid-next year we will have signed contracts for around PLN 18 billion (EUR 4.2 billion),” he further said.
