Bombardier Transportation is celebrating the newly formed Thailand Section of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE) in collaboration with Kasetsart University and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, and industry partners Siemens, Magnate Grey Box International (MGBI) and the State Railway of Thailand (SRT).
The IRSE is a professional institution that seeks to promote, for the public benefit, the advancement of the science and practice of railway signalling and telecommunications, and to maintain high standards of practice and professional care amongst those working within the industry.
“Developing local expertise is core to Bombardier values and has been a fundamental part of our presence and growth in Thailand and further realised through our local university partnerships for the development of rail education. The launch of this new IRSE Section is an important next step for cross-stakeholder partnership in developing signalling knowledge and research in Thailand,” Gregory Enjalbert, Head of Asia Pacific, Rail Control Solutions, Bombardier Transportation, said.
