Novocherkassk Locomotive Building Plant (NEVZ), part of Transmashholding Group, has delivered to Bryansk Machine Building Plant (BMZ), also part of Transmashholding Group, the five hundredth DTK-417C traction motor with axle mounted suspension for the 2TE25KM mainline diesel locomotives.
The specificity of DTK-417C motors is their welded frame and end shield construction. Original engineering solutions allowed for standardization of some required parts, complete elimination of processing casting scrap, achievement of higher motor assembly isolation effectiveness, low life cycle costs and the required operational reliability and safety.
“During the previous periods of operation, DTK-417C motors proved to be a worthy alternative to the traditionally applied Ukrainian motors. Novocherkassk motors have a very simple structure due to which assembly and disassembly operations required for their maintenance are simplified as much as possible,” Vadim Gusev, Chief Designer of BMZ New Projects Development Department, said.
