Moldovan Railways (CFM) and Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsya) signed an agreement to restore and construct a railway section between Berezino rail station (Odessa) and Basarabeasca rail station (Moldova). The agreement was signed by the general director of CFM Iurii Topala, Governor of Odessa Oblast Mikheil Saakashvili and Acting Director General of ”Ukrzaliznytsya “Alexander Zavgorodniy.
During the meeting, the sides agreed to establish a joint working group that will be responsable for railway freight transport on Artiz-Basarabeasca-Reni-Galati route and another working group which will carry out tariff policy for freight transport on Basarabeasca-Etulia-Reni-Giurgiulesti line.
In addition, it was discussed the possibility to launch a new transport service between Odessa and Chisinau and within the next months the two sides will implement measures in order to meet this task.
