After works amounting to CZK 170 million (EUR 6.5 million) at Brno Central Station, trains have returned to the original schedule. Following the investment, the fourth platform at Railway Station is now refurbished and user-friendly with higher paving, roof and modern information system. The Prague viaduct connecting the station with Židenice has also been reconstructed in order to extend its service life.
Ceske Drahy intends to start new rehabilitation works in spring 2018 and finish in December 2019. Under these plans, communication and security facilities as well as bridges over the Hybešova and Křídlovická streets will be under reconstruction to ensure their longevity.
