Luxembourg Railways (CFL) has awarded Kapsch CarrierCom the contract to implement a countrywide railway communication network based on GSM-R, that includes the operation and service support for the first three years.
The project will be realized in the beginning of 2017 and will cover 271 km in Luxembourg.
Following a Europe-wide tender, the Luxembourgian railway operator CFL selected Kapsch as the system supplier, integrator and network operator for the installation of the GSM-R radio network.
