The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) has announced it will be releasing tenders for bidding in early 2017 for its railway network project, including a link to the airport.
The project comprises of a railway network linking Kuwait City to the airport and marine ports as well as a link with other GCC states over a 511-km long double-track railway line.
It is expected to be implemented under a build, operate, transfer agreement and will transport both passengers and cargo at speeds of 120-200kmh.
