Memoranda of cooperation totaling 68.4 billion tenge (EUR 323.5 mln) were signed between Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ) and the Akimats (state regional administrations) of Akmola, Almaty, Aktobe, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kostanai, Karaganda, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan oblasts.
These documents were signed in the framework of implementation of the „Action Plan on measures to support industrial enterprises in 2015”, approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in January of this year.
Memoranda of cooperation also focused on the implementation of large-scale state measures for future economic development, increase the proportion of local content in industries providing employment.
Signing of the Memoranda will implement a number of joint innovation projects in the field of railway engineering, ensure the development of the KTZ’s production capacity and support of domestic producers.
In the near future KTZ plans to sign a document on cooperation with enterprises of the manufacturing sector in Astana.
