Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality organised a tender to puchase 300 metro vehicle sets (75 metro trains with 4 sets). The new trains will be put in circulation on the Kabataş-Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey underground, on the European side of Istanbul. After the tender being held on August 4, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality published the name of the bidders and their offers, as follows: CNR with an offer of EUR277.200.000, Hyundai Rotem- Eurotem JV with an offer of EUR 280.200.000, Alstom with an offer of EUR 327.977.000 EURO and Siemens with an offer of EUR 359.931.600.
The estimated amount of the project is EUR 355.000.000.
According to the procurement and commissioning documentation, complete delivery of the first set consisting of 144 vehicles shall be realized in 42 (forty two) months. Delivery of sets shall start as of the 22nd month after the work order date and shall be completed. Complete delivery of the second set consisting of 156 vehicles shall be realized in 22 (twenty two) months. Delivery of the second set shall start as of the 39th month after the commissioning of 144 vehicles and shall be completed by the end of the 58th month. After the delivery of final set, 60 (sixty) days shall be allowed for field test and trial.
The most advantageous bid from the economical point of view shall be determined by taking into consideration the bid price and the other circumstances other than the price.
