Hyundai Rotem announced that it has won a USD 197 million contract to supply metro cars to Seoul. Under the contract, the company will deliver 214 metro cars for Seoul’s metro Line 2. The 21 trains with 10 cars will be delivered by 2020.
The vehicles will be equipped with passenger information systems and air purification systems to minimize the concertation of particulates onboard.
Hyundai Rotem won another contract valuated at USD 39 million for the supply of 50 metro cars for the city’s metro Line 4.
