The rail link to the Helsinki Airport is to open on 1 July. However, the underground walkway linking the station to the terminals won’t be ready until late September, more than two months after the official opening of the airport station. Until then passengers will have to take a shuttle bus or walk the 200 metres to the terminals. The project has a value of 700 million euros and will revolutionise travel in the Helsinki region.
