The Serbian government has made a formal decision to divide the Serbian Railways into four companies, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure announced. The companies will be: Holding, Infrastruktura, Srbija Voz and Kargo.
The government decision will take effect in about ten days, after its publication in the Official Gazette. Under government plans and a letter of intent sent to the IMF, the deadline for dividing the company was 1 July.
The Serbian government has until the end of September to adopt corporate and restructuring plans for the company.
