The Italian authorities intend to privatize Ferrovie dello Stato within 2016. Fabrizio Pagani, the Italian Treasury’s Chief of the Cabinet, confirmed the intention to list the company at the Italian Stock Exchange by that date. In order for the privatization to go ahead, there are still many decisions to take, including the floating stake. A previous report said FS was likely to have its IPO delayed.
