Eurovia, a subsidiary of Vinci, has become the majority shareholder in THG Baugesellschaft mbH, a German company specialized in railway works.
Located in North Rhine-Westphalia, THG works on light rail networks and the national railway system. THG, which employs about 60 people and generated revenue of EUR 17 million in 2016, delivers a wide range of services, including renewal of track, switches, foundations and civil engineering. THG is currently taking part in the construction of the Rhine-Ruhr Express project between Düsseldorf and Dortmund and in regional projects in conjunction with the expansion of the Rotterdam-Genoa freight corridor. The work is being carried out against the backdrop of major railway infrastructure renewal investments to be made in Germany over the coming years. THG will join the teams at Eurovia’s subsidiary ETF, which is dedicated to railway infrastructure and operates in eight countries around the world.
