EURASIA RAIL 2016 WILL BE ORGANIZED WITH ITE GROUP PLC.
6th International Rolling Stock, Infrastructure and Logistics Exhibition – Eurasia Rail, brought together 300 companies from 30 countries with 11.539 professional visitors from 52 countries. The exhibition allowed its exhibitors and visitors to create business connections and find new business partners. Hosted by the Ministry of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications of Turkish Republic and State Railways of Turkish Republic, the exhibition was also supported by TÜVASAŞ, TÜDEMSAŞ, TÜLOMSAŞ and KOSGEB.
“Recognized as Eurasia region’s only and world’s 3rd biggest railway industry”, Eurasia Rail brought together the players of the region’s rolling stock, infrastructure and logistics industry at Istanbul Expo Center between 2 – 4 March 2017. With the conferences held alongside the exhibition, both visitors and exhibitors were informed about the latest developments innovations and technologies of the sector as well as the challenges in the industry and their potential solutions”.
Organized by TF Fuarcılık and EUF – E Uluslararası Fuarcılık, the group companies of ITE Turkey, the organizer of pioneer exhibitions in the leading industries of Turkey, Eurasia Rail, Eurasia’s only and world’s third biggest railway industry exhibition, made a great contribution for creating fruitful collaborations in the sector and the further development of the industry with the participation of leading companies and countries of the sector.
The exhibition was opened by Minister of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications of Turkish Republic Binali Yıldırım, Turkish State Railways Managing Director Ömer Yıldız, International Union of Railways Director General Jean Pierre Loubinoux, ITE Group Regional Director Vincent Brain, ITE Group Industry Director Laurent Noel, ITE Turkey Managing Director Burcu Başer and ITE Turkey Transportation & Logistics Group Director Moris Revah.
A conference was organized on the first day the event as part of the exhibition, “Railway Industry Panel” moderated by former TUVASAS General Manager and Republic of Turkey Ministry of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications consultant Prof. Dr. Metin Yerebakan, Among the speakers of the panel were UIC – International Union of Railways Director General Jean Pierre Loubinoux, Siemens Mobility General Manager Cüneyt Genç, GE Transportation – General Manager of Russia, CIS, Europe and MENAT Gokhan Bayhan and Deutsche Bahn (DB) Executive Director of Europe and Africa Benoit Schmitt. At this panel session, which was very informative for the visitors and exhibitors, latest developments in the railway industry were shared.
On the second and third day of the exhibition, a conference attended by academicians, sector’s NGOs, and senior officials from state organizations and international companies was held covering the main topics of “Urban Railway”, “Developments in Rail Vehicle Technology”, “Safety Management System” and “Special Issues in Railway”. Also with the panels held as part of the conference, visitors and exhibitors were informed about topics like “R&D Activities in the Railway Industry”, “New Solutions Regarding Maintenance and Monitoring of Railway Lines”, “Safety Features of High Speed Train System”, and “Steel Products with High Added Value in Railway Systems”.

Eurasia Rail, which we organized for the 6th time this year, brought together 300 exhibitors from 30 countries with 11.539 visitors from 52 countries. Thanks to the exhibition, the exhibitors had a chance to meet each other and which resulted in new business collaborations and new business opportunities. We believe that the exhibition will help the railway industry reach its 2023 targets.
Following our successful exhibition we’ve now focused on the 1st International Oil, Rail and Ports Conference, which is our new investment in this area. The conference which will be hosted by EUF – E Uluslararası Fuarcılık, an affiliate of ITE Turkey and Railway Administration of Iran Islamic Republic between 15-16 May 2016 aims to create a collaboration among railway, oil and natural gas industries and major ports in Middle East, Central Asia and neighboring regions. To be held in Iran, one of the target markets of Turkey, the conference is expected to contribute to the growth of the railway industry and help increase exports.”
