Elbit Systems Ltd. and CORYS have won a tender launched by Israel Railways to build simulators for training drivers. The two companies will operate and maintain two simulators for 10 years. The contract includes training the drivers. The tender was issued in December 2015. The simulators will begin operating in the second half of 2017 in support of Israel Railways’ expansion and its transition to electrical trains. Israel Railways currently has one simulator.
