Metrovagonmash and Yekaterinburg Metro signed a contract for the supply of two 4-car metro trains that will be delivered in this spring. Each car is designed for speeds of 90 km/h, fitted with 48 seats and can accommodate 330 passengers.
The new cars are equipped with modern information and safety systems as well air-conditioning system.
Metrovagonmash is cooperating with the Yekaterinburg Metro since 2011 and until now it has delivered 8 metro cars.
The metro company has already modernized two other metro trains that were delivered in January. They are fitted with LED lighting system, automatic fire detection system, improved video surveillance system.
By 2020, the company intends to modernize 11 more metro trains.
