The City of Dallas and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) ordered two additional catenary free trams from Brookville Equipment Co. The option is part of a contract signed in march 2013 for 2 same vehicles, which were delivered in the first half of 2015.
Liberty Modern Streetcars will upgrade the Dallas fleet to a total of 4 vehicles and add capacity for the forthcoming expansion to Oak Cliff’s Bishop Arts District, which is currently under construction.
The two trams, which will be identical in size and feature the same service proven systems as the initial vehicles, are scheduled to start delivering Summer 2016.
