CRRC Corp, China’s high-speed railway contractor, has teamed up with China Railway in a bid for Russia’s Moscow-Kazan high-speed rail project, according to the local press.
In their bid is successful, China Railway will tackle the work related to the infrastructure, while CRRC will provide the rolling stock. “The high-speed rail project may be the first overseas contract landed by China’s high-speed rail industry,” said a CREEGC executive, according to the report.
A ranking CRRC executive is confident in winning the contract, citing the company’s adoption of the Chinese design.
