Croatian operators H1 Telekom and Odasiljaci i Veze are planning to cover the first railway stations with free Wi-Fi networks by the end of 2016, with the goal of increasing the number of passengers, reports Poslovni Dnevnik. The plan is to cover over 30 railway stations in Gorski Kotar, Lika, Slavonija and Baranja as well as the Dalmatian hinterland. The idea is to install Wi-Fi hotspots on railway stations in order to connect between 15 and 200 users with speeds of 500 Kbps. The initial cost of the investment is estimated at EUR 15 million.
