The European Investment Bank announced that it is considering lending 26 million euro for the upgrade project of the Dugo Selo-Krizevci rail track. The project has a total cost of 200 million euro and involves the construction of a second track and the reconstruction of the 38.2 km existing railway line section. The stations Dugo Selo, Vrbovec and Krizevci would also be recostructed and a new station would be constructed.
The project will also include the removal of level crossings, the upgrade of the fixed electric traction installations and the modernisation of signalling, interlocking and telecommunication equipment.
