The Croatian government approved a draft project for the development of the country’s railways. The plan will see the state-owned rail companies HZ Infrastruktura, HZ Cargo and HZ Putnicki Prijevozborrow a combined 1 billion kuna (130 million euro) from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The draft project is structured to support the overhaul of the railway sector, investments in its capacity, infrastructure redundancy programs and refinancing of current obligations.
