The HS2 client body has shortlisted consultants for two contracts for the next phases of the HS2 route. The winning bidders will work on civils and environmental design of the sections between Crewe and Manchester, and Birmingham and Leeds, via Sheffield and the East Midlands.
Bidders for the development partner contract are Bechtel, CH2M Hill and Mace/Turner & Townsend.
Bidders for the civils design and environmental services contract are AECOM/ Capita/ Ingenieria y Economia del Transporte (INECO); Ove Arup and Partners International; Atkins/Arcadis; and Mott MacDonald/WSP.
The second contract for civils design and environmental services will be split into three lots, each dealing with a different geographical area. The largest of these is the third lot, which covers civils design and environmental services in Leeds.
