Three international consortia have been shortlisted to build Melbourne’s USD 6 billion Metro Tunnel.
The shortlist includes:
- Continuum Victoria – ACCIONA Infrastructure, Ferrovial Agroman, Honeywell, Downer EDI and Plenary Origination;
- Cross Yarra Partnership – Lendlease Engineering, John Holland, Bouygues Construction and Capella Capital;
- Moving Melbourne Together – Pacific Partnerships, CPB Contractors, Ghella, Salini Impregilo, Serco and Macquarie Capital.
The project is being delivered as a public-private partnership (PPP). The shortlisted consortia will submit formal bids early next year. The contract is expected to be awarded at the end of next year and construction should get underway in 2018.
