Chairman of the Board of the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), Wu Wanliang, said that the company is interested to participate in the construction project of Armenia’s southern railway. The statement was made during a meeting with the Armenian Minister of Transport Gagik Beglaryan.
The Chinese side presented several possible mechanisms for funding this project.
The minister expressed the hope that the matters being discussed and the agreements being reached during such talks will contribute to the development of Armenia’s infrastructure.
The parties discussed the distinctiveness of the implementation of this project, and stressed this railway construction’s importance for Armenia and the entire region, alike.
