China is preparing to build a new high speed line between Xiongan New Area, in Hebei province, and Tianjin city, cutting time travel from two hours to less than one hour.
Zhao Haishan, vice-mayor of Tianjin, said that the high speed railway is planned to run from Xiongan to downtown Tianjin and also to its Binhai New Area. The distance between Xiongan and Tianjin is about 150 km.
Earlier last month, railway lines from Xiongan to Beijing and Tianjin were revealed on a Tianjin railway planning map. The report showed that there will be two new railway stations in the new area-Xiongan Railway Station and Xiongan East Railway Station.
The Tianjin-Xiongan railway route will connect the area with Tianjin’s new railway station, which is also in the planning stages.
