China and Kyrgyzstan may establish a joint stock company to construct the railway line from China to Kyrgyzstan, President Almazbek Atambayev announced, AKIpress News Agency reports.
The two sides are conducting negociations for the construction of this railway line.
At the begining of March, Kyrgyzstan proposed China to consider concession option for the development of the project announced Minister of Transport and Communications Kalykbek Sultanov.
“That is, we are offering creation of a joint company “Kyrgyzstan-China”. The Kyrgyz side will assume the area for the construction of the railway, and the Chinese side will finance the construction. The Chinese side has accepted a proposal positively, and the Chinese experts are studying the issue. The second round of negotiations will soon take place,” he said.
