Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indonesian President Joko Widodo witnessed the signing of cooperation documents on high-speed rail projects, during Asian-African summit held in Jakarta. China is intending to invest in infrastructure projects in Indonesia, like the high-speed rail from Jakarta to Bandung, Arrmanantha Nasir told Xinhua.
According to the preliminary research, the project total investment of about USD 6 billion, due to the investment yield negative can’t completely by the private sector investment and construction, the ideal way is to be dominated by Indonesian state-owned enterprises of special project company, the state-owned enterprises paid 74%, the government and the private sector for 16% and 16% respectively.
China will encourage more companies to participate in infrastructure construction and operations in Indonesia, Chinese President Xi Jinping said.
Indonesia and China have made many commitments in infrastructure cooperation, such as high-speed railway and ports, a spokesman for Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
