The state port administrator of Empresa Portuaria Valparaíso (EPV), Chile, has reactivated a rail freight service for container shipments through the port.
The operation involved the cooperation with Transport Ministry, EPV and EFE Group and the project is part of a programme that aims to increase the rail transport share and the development of Yolanda terminal.
“We are working to increase the share of rail transport through our terminals, so reactivating this rail service for containers export is the result of joint management of the logistics community and port of Valparaiso, with EFE Group and MTT (Transport Ministry), “Carlos Vera, EPV logistics manager said.
