HS2 Ltd, the company developing a new high speed rail network, has launched the procurement process for £900m of enabling works contracts on phase one. The contracts are packaged into three £300m lots, each with a single supplier, covering the north, central and south areas of HS2 phase one. The first phase is for a new high speed rail line linking London and Birmingham. The enabling works contracts include site clearance, demolition, and construction of site compounds, batching plants and access roads. Contractors have until 23rd April to register interest.
