A new eight-track railway station opened to traffic in Belgrade. The Prokop station was designed by Belgrade-based Saobracajni institut CIP Ltd, and the construction works were conducted by a consortium headed by Serbia’s Energoprojekt Holding.
The project, with a value of EUR 25.8 million, was completed in 420 days. The project was financed with the proceeds of a loan extended by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, as preliminary estimates put the project costs at around EUR 24 million.
