Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev signed the decree approving the memorandum of understanding between Azerbaijan Railways and Iranian Railways on the development of railways. The MoU was signed in March 2017, in Tehran.
Azerbaijan Railways has been instructed to ensure the implementation of provisions of the presidential decree after the MoU’s entry into force. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry has also been instructed to send a notification to the Iranian government on the implementation of domestic procedures required for the MoU’s entry into force.
