Uzbekistan Temir Yollari is planning to launch construction of electrified railroad Angren-Pap, general manager of the company Sherzod Ismatullaev said. Uzbekistan is planning to commission new electrified railroad Angren-Pap in July 2016.
He said that within the project on construction of electrified railroad Angren-Pap with the cost of USD 1.2 billion, investments for USD 523 million were used (43.6% from total investments).
Ismatullaev said that the company used USD 403.5 million within project on construction of electrified railroad Angren Pap in 2014 at the forecast volume of USD 387.2 million.
He stated that the railroad will link regions of Ferghana Valley with the central part of Uzbekistan and complete formation of single railroad transport system.
Uzbekistan Temir Yollari started construction of electrified railroad Angren-Pap in July 2014. China Railway Tunnel Group constructs tunnel of the railway with the cost of USD 455 million.
The cost of the project makes up USD 1.2 billion. The project will be financed due to resources of the state budget, own resources of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari and loans of international financial institutions.
