Russia will start constructing a RUB29bn (USD 693.6M) bridge across the Amur River on the border with China, together with the country in 2016, a year later than previously scheduled, Amur Region Economic Development Minister Vasily Orlov said, Prime reported.
The bridge will become the basis for a special economic zone, which will be located in the north-east of China near Russia’s Blagoveshchensk city. Agriculture, pulp and paper, innovation and production complexes will be established in the zone, where 26 Chinese companies will reside, he added.
