Alstom and Colas Rail have won a contract worth nearly EUR 11 million to provide power supply equipment for the future east-west tramway line of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropole, which will link the port to the airport. The commissioning of the 11-km line is planned for 2018.
The contract includes the studies, supply, assembly and testing of power supply equipment for traction, low and high voltage. The firm part of the order covers the delivery of 7 electrical substations, 10 Lighting Power Station and 2 Intake Power Station. The optional part of the order relates to the supply of two additional substations.
Alstom, the principal contractor and project manager, and Colas Rail, will ensure all services as an integrated team. Alstom’s Infrastructure teams, based in Saint-Ouen, Villeurbanne and Nice, will lead and carry out the project.
