India’s Gujarat Chief Minister, Anandiben Patel, launched works for Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project’s North-South Corridor (Line 2).
Ahmedabad Metro Line 2 will connect Motera with APMC, Vasna and will be passing through the important areas of the city like Paldi, Jivraj, Shreyas, Rajivnagar, Gandhigram Railway station and Sabarmati. The length of this corridor is approximately 19 km with 15 elevated stations along the route and includes a depot at Gyaspur. The project is expected to be completed within 3 years offering the connection on east-west axis.
‘The ambitious metro rail project to connect Ahmedabad with Gandhinagar will be completed within four years,’ Anandiben Patel said.
