African rail transport company Sitarail intends to launch the rehabilitation works for Ouagadougou-Abidjan rail line this May, the Ministry of Transport announced, quted by StarAfrica.com. The new chairman of the board Michel Roussin said that Sitarail commitment for this project is essential for the development of economic activity in Burkina Faso.
In July 2014, Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast governments decided that Pan African Minerals şi Bolloré Groups will be responsible for the rehabilitation and operation of Abidjan-Ouagadougou-Kaya line including its extension to Tambao.
