The Romanian national transport operator, CFR Calatori, launched a tender to contract general overhaul services with the modernisation of the 2047, 2057 series into new 2068 series passenger railcars.
A framework agreement will be concluded, but the contract will not be split into lots.
The framework agreement is estimated between minimum RON 25.20 million (EUR 5.32 million) and maximum RON 289.80 million (EUR 61.26 million).
According to the requirements of CFR Calatori, the framework agreement will be concluded for the repair of at least 10 coaches and maximum 115 coaches. The largest subsequent contract under the framework agreement will be completed for the overhaul of at least 10 coaches and a maximum of 35 coaches.
The award criteria aim at best value-for-money ratio, so the financial component of the bid will have a share of 90%, while the technical offer will have a share of 10%.
The financing will be provided from CFR Calatori’s own sources.
Bids must be submitted by 11 March 2019.
The submitted bids must be valid until June 11, 2019.
