The rail service that P&O Ferrymasters maintains together with Polish company Erontrans between the United Kingdom and Poznan is being increased to five journeys per week. The expansion is evidence that rail transport between Rotterdam and Poland is on the increase.
“We already ran on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from Europoort. Wednesdays have now been added to this, said Mark Timmermans, P&O Ferrymasters Trailer Director. The service, implemented by LTE, comprises a maximum of 36 Huckepack trailers, each of which has a capacity of 28 tonnes. The journey between Rotterdam and Poznan takes some twenty hours.
