RZD is currently engaged in the reconstruction and repairs of 15 railway stations and 22 platforms. According to the company, the total investment in these projects has reached RUB 12.8 billion (EUR 190 million). By the end of this year, 5 railway stations will be recommissioned in the towns of Cherepanovo, Mogocha, Ruzaevka, Saransk and Kogalym upon completion of the reconstruction activities.
Besides, the company intends to renovate 17 platforms at railroad complexes in the cities hosting matches of the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara.
