The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) is ready to provide funding for the second phase of the reconstruction of Prokop railway station in the centre of Belgrade, according to Kuwaiti ambassador to Serbia Yousef Ahmad Abdulsamad. KFAED has participated in the first phase of the project and considers that Serbia is one of its best partners globally, Abdulsamad said during a meeting with Serbian Infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic.
The second phase of the Prokop railway station reconstruction project envisages the overhaul of the upper floor of the station intended for retail use, as well as access roads from the Nis-Belgrade motorway. The first phase of the reconstruction of the railway station was carried out by engineering group Energoprojekt and was completed in January 2016.
