Ukrainian Railways will launch in the fourth quarter of 2017 the tender on the electrification of Dolynska-Mykolaiv-Kolosivka rail section. The total length of the line to be electrified is more than 200 km.
The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 360 million, will be jointly financed by the EIB, the EBRD and the company.
The project involves two phases. The first phase involves the electrification of Dolynska-Mykolaiv section, including the construction of a new railway tracks of about 99.2 km with upgrade of tracks in 12 stations. The project requires the development of the high voltage network for the sections to be electrified, including supplying future catenary system and related high voltage substations.
The second phase envisages the electrification of Kolosivka-Mykolaiv section in length of 105 km of single track.
The services will include the supervision engineer of the works as well as other technical assistance to the project implementation.
