Joint venture RB Rail has selected Systra as winner of the open competition on design guidelines for the Rail Baltica railway project. Systra’s bid was the most economically advantageous offer and the contract amounts to EUR 563,065.
Under the contract, Systra will provide engineers with a standardized approach to the Rail Baltica design, which will be mandatory for the design, construction and operations of the Rail Baltica infrastructure and will be endorsed by the respective national authorities, if applicable. The design guidelines will ensure railway interoperability and accelerate the railway design and construction process.
Four applicants submitted their proposals for the open competition: a consortium under Egis Rail; Systra; DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH; Gauff Rail Engineering.
