RegioJet is planning to launch its intercity train services on another European market – in Austria – since December 2017. RegioJet plans, that Austria – together with the Czech Republic and Slovakia will become its third „home market “, where RegioJet will further expand its activities. RegioJet will offer its train services connecting 4 times a day in each direction Vienna – Břeclav – Brno and Prague.
Austrian transport company, GKB (Graz-Köflacher Bahn und Busbetrieb GmbH) – headquartered in Graz operating, besides others, passenger and freight trains and also regular bus connections, will be the exclusive partner of RegioJet on the Austrian market. Besides the new intercity train services between Vienna and Prague, RegioJet is planning further development of its activities also on the Austrian market in the future.
