Through the Kazakh-Chinese borders at Dostyk-Alashankou and Altynkol-Khorgos in 2017 it is planned to increase the volume of transit and import and export of goods by 33%.
The project was discussed at the meeting of the subgroup of the Railways of Kazakhstan and China within the framework of the Organization for cooperation of Railways (OSJD).
Kazakhstan and China mutual turnover in the current year will increase to 10 million tons, with Kazakhstan’s exports amounted to 5.59 million tons, the import and transit from China is expected to reach 5.4 million tons.
