Metrorex, Bucharest metro transport operator, launched the attribution procedure of a new procurement contract on „Traffic safety and automation system including the train on-board safety equipment and the dynamic information system (including sound) – Line 5 Râul Doamnei – Eroilor Section (PS Operă), including Valea Ialomiţei Station and Depot”.
The announcement refers to Metrorex’s intention of initiating the open tender procedure on contracting the supply of equipment, design and execution of works related to the implementation of the traffic safety and automation system.
Metrorex, as beneficiary of Metro Line 5 works, informs that on 17 March the participation notice was published in the Public Procurement Electronic System (SEAP) on www.e-licitatie.ro web site.
At the same time, the contract will also include the on-board safety equipment and the passenger dynamic information system.
The estimated cost of the contract is EUR 31.7 million, VAT excluded. The contract attribution criterion is „the lowest price”.
The contract financing source is ensured from the state budget, the EIB foreign loan and non-reimbursable foreign funds from the Operational Programme Large Infrastructure 2014-2020.
