Wynental- und Suhrentalbahn AG (WSB), a narrow-gauge railway in Switzerland’s Aargau canton, has ordered five new three-car trains from Stadler. Operated under the AAR bus + bahn brand, the trains will be 60 metres long – 20 metres longer than those currently owned by the operator – and will have walk-through carriages. The new metre-gauge units will come into service for the December 2019 timetable change. The first five vehicles are estimated to cost EUR 50 million, but the order includes an option for 10 more trains.
